Among the many students who applied for the annual TEDxWesleyanU Student Speaker Competition, only three finalists were chosen to deliver a full length TEDx talk during the final round of the 2021 competition. Each speaker delivered a heartfelt, compelling talk ranging in topics from mental health to individualism during the pandemic. All of the competitors were incredible, making the decision very hard for the judges, who deliberated for hours.

After intense discussion, the judges returned to TEDx’s roots of finding the best ideas worth spreading. We are delighted to announce that this year we are moving forward with not only one, but two 2021 student speaker winners! The TEDxWesleyanU Student Speaker Winners for 2021 are: Emily McEvoy and Fitzroy ‘Pablo’ Wickham
